Refugee Camp
A collection of tents and shacks used to shelter populations of ‘undesirables’ not wanted within the City States themselves. Halflings make up the majority of the populace, having been generally considered to be intrinsically criminal. Other races that may be found in the camp are: Duergar, Goliath, Half-Orc, and Hobgoblin. The camp is little more than a slum, there are no guild outposts; however, the UCSA does maintain a small outpost here both for token defense and for conscripting forces to swell its numbers in problem areas.
The camp itself rests on the edge of an un-named cove at the end of the Woeful Road. It is bordered to the North, East, and Southeast by the Beltene’s Teeth mountain range an to the West by the Western Sea. On the other side of Beltene’s Teeth from the camp runs The Boiler March, a highway leading from the UCSA outpost to the South Northwest up to Boiler Town. The March passes through The Skaraweald, a thick forest that is ticker yet with goblin tribes.

Woeful Road
The trail that leads from the UCSA outpost to the Refugee Camp, It is so named for the fact that there are only two reasons for traveling this road:
- you are emigrating to the camp to live a life of hardship.
- you are leaving the camp to fight on the front-lines of the war, often in the heaviest and most dangerous fighting of the war.
The Boiler March
A highway running from the UCSA outpost South of the Refugee Camp up to Boiler Town far to the Northwest. Timber Lake, a small body of water on the south edge of The Skaraweald, is the last stop for fresh water along the great highway until the foot of Land’s End.
